Think because we don’t have the big name brand that our hats are just for play? Think again! Gone Country Hats cowboy hats are made of durable, high-quality materials. Whether riding the trail, working in the yard, bringing in the crops, or digging up the dirt, we’ve got you covered. Our real customers sent us these pictures of themselves at work in our trusted and reliable hats.
Our painted bangora hats like the Memphis, 8 Seconds, Denver, Colt and Justin can be wiped clean easily and they shed water too. And don’t you just love a vented crown? Brad is another easily cleaned and durable painted hat; the Hicktown is a softer bangora that’s easy to wear as well. The Hicktown is softer because it has less lacquer, but it’s as durable as the painted ones, and great for light-duty work.
A palm straw cowboy hat like the Backroads, Vegas or Winslow will wick heat and sweat from your head. These three will keep you cool and stand up to any weather you have to work in. Palm leaf is the most durable natural material for a western hat and handles the elements exceptionally well. Kenny is another good choice for working long hours in the sun. We dare you to wear these hats out!
Even the Smokin and the American Ride are good for working. Yes, they are fashionable, but they have all the durability of the workhorse hats. They can take plenty of abuse. Need a cowboy hat that is absolutely waterproof? Try Blacktop, Smokin Black or the Winslow Black. They’ll take rain for days. They give you complete sun protection too.
Taking Care Of Your Cowboy Hat
Of course our beautiful hats come with a lifetime warranty, but you still want to maintain their shape and vitality for as long as you can. Most of our cowboy hats can really take a beating, so don’t worry if they get wet from a hard day’s work. Don’t let your hat dry on a flat surface, and ensure it’s thoroughly dry before storing. Making sure it’s dry will prevent mildew from growing. Avoid saturating any wool hats, but don’t worry about a little sprinkle here and there. All Gone Country hats have wire in the brim, so you can easily reshape them yourself, but make sure to avoid crushing the crown. For storing your hat, make certain the front, back and underside of your cowboy hat are not resting on any surface. You want to steer clear from having any pressure on the brim of the hat. Using your cowboy boots to hold up your hat or rolling up a sweatshirt to put inside your hat are great ways of storing it properly.
